全国人大常委会办公厅拟于8月31日（星期日）下午4时在人民大会堂新闻发布厅举行新闻发布会，欢迎中外记者参加。 2014年8月25日开幕，十二届全国人大常委会第十次会议正在审议预算法修正案草案、安全生产法修正案草案、关于香港特别行政区行政长官普选问题和2016年立法会产生办法决定草案，如获通过，我们将邀请有关方面负责人回答与这些法律和决定有关的问题。请有意参加的中外记者，于8月30日下午5时前，凭本人有效采访证件向全国人大常委会办公厅新闻局（西城区前门西大街1号）报名，领取新闻发布会请柬和停车证。参会记者凭请柬进人民大会堂东门，车辆可凭证停放在人民大会堂东门停车场。联系电话：63097241(兼传真)

Notice for Press Briefing

Dear Journalists,

You are cordially invited to attend a press briefing held by the General Office of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) at the Press Conference Hall of the Great Hall of the People at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2014.

The 10th session of the 12th NPC Standing Committee, which opened on August 25, 2014, is reviewing the draft amendment to the Budget Law, the draft revision to the Workplace Safety Law and the draft decision on Issues Relating to the Selection of the Chief Executive of HKSAR by Universal Suffrage and on the Method for Forming the Legislative Council of HKSAR in 2016. If the drafts are approved by the session, relevant officials will be invited to answer questions from the press over the new laws.

You are kindly reminded that there will be no interpretation for the press briefing. Please raise your questions in Chinese.

If interested, you may pick up the invitation letters and parking permits from the Information Bureau of the General Office of the NPC Standing Committee (Address: No.1 Qianmen West Street, Xicheng District) by showing your valid press card before 5:00 p.m., August 30, 2014.

Please show invitation letters to enter the East Gate of the Great Hall of the People and park your cars at the East Gate with the parking permits.
